Hoya
Hoya Flowers
|
|
Hoya plant with flower cluster fully open. The Hoya is a beautiful plant, but the flowers drip a thick sticky and smelly sap. They make a mess, but don't last too long.

African Yellow Egg
African Yellow Egg
|
|
This is the most unusual of all of our current plants. The eggs are real! they start off white and as they ripen they turn to a gold/yellow color. There are several small seeds inside the pods. The plants are annuals and we have now succesfully re-grown them several times, although they are quite delicate. The egg shell is hard just like a real egg! Notice the little 'spikes' around the leaves, especially where the egg joins the plant!

A hanging plant with long trailing growth and beautiful flowers.

Parrot Plant

This is also a very unusual plants. The brightly coloured flowers resemble little parrots (use your imagination)! Alas, if they dry out even once, they die!

Coffee Plant

We have actually had coffee beans on these plants. Unfortunately a 'scale' infestation meant we had to sacrifice these two large plants as we were unable to get it under control. Not to worry though, new smaller plants are coming along nicely. May be awhile before I can make a cup of coffee though! ;-)
